A Century of Community: Centennial Birthday Bash Brings Greenacres Together
The City of Greenacres celebrated its official birthday weekend with the memorable Centennial Birthday Bash, bringing together residents, community leaders, and local partners to celebrate 100 years of history, growth, and community spirit.
The event featured live music by Remix, complimentary cake and ice cream courtesy of Pinecrest Bakery, and grilled favorites served by the Firefighters/Paramedics of Palm Beach County, Local 2928, IAFF. Families enjoyed a Kids Zone presented by Gehring Group and Brown & Brown Public Sector, while WPBF ABC 25 helped share the celebration with the broader community.
The Birthday Bash honored Greenacres’ rich heritage while creating new memories as residents gathered to celebrate the City’s past, present, and future. Thank you to all of our sponsors, community partners, and the residents who make us who we are.
Egg’Stravaganza Brings Springtime Fun to Greenacres
The City of Greenacres welcomed families from across the community for this year’s Egg’Stravaganza, a festive celebration filled with fun, laughter, and springtime excitement.
Residents and visitors enjoyed a morning packed with activities, including egg hunts, games, entertainment, and opportunities to make special memories together. Children of all ages took part in the festivities while families explored the event and celebrated the season.

Celebrating Our Centenarian’s – Recognize a Loved One or a Neighbor!
As part of the Centennial Celebration, we want to honor Greenacres residents who are turning 100 years old in 2026! If you or a loved one is reaching this incredible milestone or reached it, we invite you to share your story so the community can celebrate this remarkable achievement. Recognition may be shared through social media, the city website, local news, or city council meetings.
Greenacres Chili Cook-Off Brings the Heat
The City of Greenacres turned up the heat at this year’s Chili Cook-Off, bringing the community together for a day full of flavor, fun, and friendly competition.
Residents and visitors gathered to sample a wide variety of chili recipes, each offering its own unique twist, from classic, slow-simmered favorites to bold and spicy creations. Local teams and organizations showcased their culinary skills, competing for top honors and, of course, bragging rights.
Congratulations to all of this year’s participants and winners for making the event such a success.

Sunday Sounds Brings the Community Together
We had a fantastic time at our recent Sunday Sounds concert in Greenacres! It was a wonderful evening filled with great music, community spirit, and plenty of fun for residents of all ages.
Families, friends, and neighbors gathered to enjoy live entertainment, relax outdoors, and make lasting memories together. Events like Sunday Sounds are a great reminder of what makes Greenacres so special, bringing people together through shared experiences and vibrant community programming.

Greenacres at the South Florida Fair
We had an amazing time at this year’s South Florida Fair! What a fun and meaningful way to help kick off our Centennial year.
The City proudly entered a Centennial-themed float in the parade to share our excitement and build visibility for the yearlong celebration ahead. It was wonderful to see so much community support and energy along the route.
A big thank you to the South Florida Fair staff, our Mayor and Council, and our float sponsor Brand X Co. for their participation and for helping make this such a special experience for our community.
